Le Barche Estate
The Barche estate is composed by the homonymous block, Pigno (left) and Monte Tenda (right). It is situated on the hills between the villages of Soave and Monteforte d’Alpone in the heart of the Soave Classico area, 20 km east of Verone and 25 west of Vicenza.
Le Barche covers 4 hectares of land, 2,5 of which are planted with vineyards. These are divided into small plots: the Monte Tenda covers 2 hectares with the variety Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave in a clay-calcareous soil and the Pigno covers 1,5 hectares with the varieties Garganega, Trebbiano di Soave and Chardonnay in vulcanic soil.
The lands derive from a Volcano with chalky elements and basalt at an elevation of 200-250 meters on the sea level, enjoying warm days and cool nights during the growing season.
The vineyards on the Cru Monte Tenda was planted on the year 2003 with the first vintage 2005.
