the continue hopness of the Marcato to produce wines which rafigure the best expression of the qulity bounded with the terroir bring into the progject to create a white wine willing to be one day the antagonist of the red Baraldo. Started in 1999 with the collaboration of other producer we have been trying the best block where the grapes show they own best quality. 50% Garganega, 20% Pinot Blanc, 20% Sauvignon and 10% Chardonnay Variety:
12 hours of skin contact in a C02 atmosphere, and then fermented in 40 hectoliters oak cask and stainless steel and oak barrels at controlled temperature with malolactic fermentation in wood.
Vinification:
the wines are blended and aged on the lees for 10 months in 40 hectoliters oak casks (70%) and oak barrels (30%). Then aged in bottle for 3 months. Maturation:
bright yellow color with golden scents. Yellow fruits persistent aromas , such as apple, apricot and banana, with a scent of Mediterranean and fermentative essences such as sage, almond and yeast. Some touches of toasted hazelnut .The palate is rich, with harmonious acid-alcoholic balance, with fruitness in front palate and a aftertaste of delicate mineral with hazelnut hints. Drink now or cellar to 2007.
