And Marcato Vini founds its own identity on he link with the land where it grows its grapes, which defines its essence. Marcato is Durello, it is Lessini, it is Roncà. It has always interpreted the essence of the sparkling wine produced in the high valleys of the Lessini Hills, between the provinces of Verona and Vicenza.
Like its wines, Marcato is a bold winery, intense and proud of being different from every other winery. Established in 1904 in Roncà (Verona), it is the place where 40 years ago the Lessini Durello sparkling wine was born produced with traditional method.
About 55 hectares of planted grapevines, 450 tons of grapes, 400,000 bottles produced and 7,000 square meters of modern and equipped winery: these are the numbers. So, endowed with over a century of history and honed skills, 2013 was the beginning of a new course for Marcato Vini which, with Gianni Tessari and his family, has increased its attention towards innovation, projecting itself in a winning union between the wisdom of time on one hand and the enthusiasm and passion of the people on the other.
If Marcato has gained success as a reference name for Durello and it has always had a role as a protagonist, the key words with which it has made itself known are earth and passion: the cornerstones of production.
Exactly thanks to this red thread that from the physicality of the soil arrives to the heart of people of the winery, each wine has its own soul. A history written by the particular harmony between the vines and the soil. Between the essence of each variety and the peculiarity of each type of territory where the vineyard is cultivated.
