Marcato Pinot Noir

Overview

Barattaro Estate is situated at the feet of the Lessini Hills in the village of Montecchia di Crosara in the heart of the Alpone valley area, 32 km east of Verone and 27 west of Vicenza.

Wineyards

Barattaro estate covers 2 hectares of land, which are planted with the variety Pinot Noir on a clayey soil of sedimentary and volcanic origin due to the closeness to the Calvarina Volcano at an elevation of 120 meters above sea level. The vineyard enjoyes slightly wet and warm days and cool nights during the growing season. The grapes are picked during the first days of September.

Wines

Not every years is produced a red Pinot Noir Barattaro otherwise the grapes are used for the Lessini wines.
