Overview

The Classico Zone is the home of the homonymous vineyards: Pigno and Monte Tenda. It is situated on the hills between the villages of Soave and Monteforte d’Alpone in the heart of the Soave Classico area, 20 km east of Verona and 25 west of Vicenza.

Wineyards

It covers 4 hectares planted with vineyards. These are divided into small plots: Monte Tenda covers 2,5 hectares with the varieties Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave and Pigno covers 1,5 hectares with the varieties Garganega.
The lands derives from a Volcano therefore is rich in chalky elements and basalt, the elevation is of 200-250 meters above sea level, enjoying warm days and cool nights during the growing season.

Wines

Monte Tenda Soave Classico from Monte Tenda Cru and Pigno Soave Classico from Il Pigno Cru are vinified and aged at the Marcato winery.
