I Prandi Estate, also site of the Marcato Winery, with its famous Durello Traditional Method and Il Duello Recioto di Soave, is situated meanly on the Il Duello Hill between the two small villages of Roncà and Montecchia di Corsara, in the hearts of the Soave Colli Scaligeri area and Lessini area 30 km west of Vicenza and 30 km east of Verone.
I Prandi covers 6 hectares of land, completely planted with the native varieties Durello and Garganega divided into small plots Il Duello vineyards covers 1 hectare. This land derive from an original Volcano Calvarina, with mineral compounds, clay and basalt and is situated at elevation of 180 to 300 meters on the sea level with south exposure on the sun.
The original estate where the Marcato family started to grow vines in the twenties and began after the second war to be used commercially in the sixties. These grapes are now picked in two weeks, between the second and third week of October and hand picked and processed at the vinery sited in the I Prandi Estate.
